From a very young age, candy (or sweets, as we Brits know them) has been closely linked to good times with family and friends. From my grandad always keeping a custom bag of mints and suckers in the side-door of his car and treating us on long rides, my ‘little gran’ stashing a bag of gummies and toffee for me and my sisters while babysitting, to spending my entire paper round salary on snacks from the very shop I worked at; sweets were always part of the fun.

As an expat living in the U.S., I discovered first-hand how difficult it can be to get your hands on these home comforts. Whether it was having items shipped from the UK or relying on care packages from family during the COVID pandemic.

With that in mind, in 2024 we founded BritSnacks, with the aim of serving up goodies to fellow expatriates and British snack lovers alike. We hope you enjoy what we have to offer, and if there’s something you’d like that we don’t currently stock, let us know! We’d love to look into bringing it to the U.S. for you.
